Neogyn is a cosmetic product to help soothe and calm vulvar skin. It is not for treatment of infections such as a yeast infection. Possible signs of an infection are:  vaginal odor and discharge, painful urination and intercourse, and itching and burning. If you suspect that you have an infection, do not use Neogyn and seek treatment from your heathcare professional.

Vulvar discomfort may be linked to various conditions Vulvodynia, Provoked Vestibulodynia (also known as Vulvar Vestibulitis Syndrome), Lichen Sclerosus, Vulvar Eczema, Lichen Planus, and Vulvar Dermatitis. Additionally, vulvar discomfort may be caused by hormonal changes. Hormonal changes may be caused by menopause, the use of oral contraceptives, or certain breast cancer treatments. In particular, a decrease in estrogen causes vulvar skin to become thinner, more fragile and vulnerable.
