How do you use Neogyn?

Wash hands before applying Neogyn Vulvar Soothing Cream. Apply approximately a pea size (1ml) of Neogyn with your fingertips to the vestibule or follow the recommendations of your physician. Apply Neogyn twice daily for at least 6 to 8 weeks before experiencing the benefit of the cream. Will Neogyn irritate me?

You may experience a slight transitory burning sensation after the first few applications. It is free of color additives, fragrances, petrolatum and mineral oil.

Is Neogyn safe?

Neogyn Vulvar Soothing Cream is safe as shown in more than 300 women who received the cream during gynecological testing. No adverse events were reported with only some minor and temporary warming or burning sensations after the first few applications to the vulva. This usually disappeared with continued use.

How does Neogyn work?

It helps to restore the vulva, thereby improving its condition. This may take some time as if when healing a wound.

How long does Neogyn take to work?

Clinical studies indicated that results can be expected in about 6-8 weeks; but this varies and may take more or less time.

Can you use Neogyn inside the vagina?

No. Neogyn is not for vaginal use. It is for external use to the vulva only.

Who should not use Neogyn?

Do not use Neogyn if you are allergic to any of the ingredients contained in the product. Do not use during or immediately after pregnancy. Individuals taking immunosuppressive medication(s) should consult with a physician since Neogyn has not been evaluated in those types of individuals, as is typically the case for most creams. Do not use if a cancer is present at the site(s) of application.

Neogyn is a cosmetic product to help soothe and calm vulvar skin. It is not for treatment of infections such as a yeast infection. Possible signs of an infection are:  vaginal odor and discharge, painful urination and intercourse, and itching and burning. If you suspect that you have an infection, do not use Neogyn and seek treatment from your heathcare professional.

Does Neogyn contain parabens?

Is Propanediol the same as Propylene Glycol?

Propanediol (1,3-propanediol) is a slightly different substance than propylene glycol (1,2-propanediol). The content of Propanediol in neogyn is about 3%, which is rather low.  Higher levels (e.g. 10% or more) of Propylene Glycol have been linked to skin intolerabilities.

Neogyn was not tested on animals.

Does Neogyn contain hormones?

Neogyn is hormone free.

I have a gluten sensitivity. Does Neogyn contain wheat/gluten?

Yes, It does contain wheat germ oil, but is certified gluten free by the supplier of this ingredient.

Can you use Neogyn with steroid creams?

Neogyn can be used with steroids as adjunct or maintenance care of the vulva. However, you should not apply Neogyn the same days you use the medication, but on alternate days when you do not use the medication or once you stopped using the medication. Please follow the instructions provided by your doctor.

Can you use Neogyn with estrogen cream?

Neogyn can be used for the vulva along with hormone medications. Before using, we recommend that you inform your doctor.

What is the shelf life of Neogyn?
