The development of neogyn was inspired by clinical research regarding wound healing conducted at the University Hospital of Lausanne, Switzerland, a leading international medical research facility. A cream containing naturally balanced proteins was developed from this research to use for wound and burn healing. It was later discovered that the cream was also beneficial for genital discomfort. Working with leading experts in feminine care for several years, a unique formulation that was hormone and additive-free was developed, neogyn® Feminine Soothing Cream, specifically to help soothe and calm the vulva, the external vaginal area.
The cream was studied in more than 200 women by gynecologists in Switzerland. A controlled study realized by gynecologist Professor G. Donders (Belgium) corroborated the positive results. In addition, another controlled study was completed in the United States by Dr. Andrew Goldstein, who is an expert in vulvar discomfort. He is also the co-author of "When Sex Hurts". Continuing the commitment to scientific research, another US clinical study specific to menopausal women was launched in 2013 with over 30 women by Dr. Michael Krychman, Dr. Susan Kellogg and Dr. Barbara DePree, all highly recognized MD’s specializing in women’s sexual health.
neogyn is proud to work with an international team of gynecological experts that serve as our advisory board. We continually communicate with this advisory board as technologies and medical findings are discovered in order to provide new and effective treatments for women.
