Neogyn is a company based in Troy, Michigan, a Northern suburb of Detroit. Neogyn has a clear understanding of women suffering from vulvar issues and is committed to improving their well-being. This commitment has driven several years of research, seeking the possibility of providing relief to women.
The development of Neogyn was inspired by clinical research regarding wound healing conducted at the University Hospital of Lausanne, Switzerland, a leading international medical research facility. A cream containing Cutaneous Lysate was developed from this research and by coincidence, the cream was also found to be beneficial for the care of vulvar discomfort. The first report came from a researcher at the University Hospital using the cream for this purpose. Working with leading experts in feminine care for several years, a new cream containing Cutaneous Lysate, Neogyn Vulvar Soothing Cream, was developed specifically to help soothe and calm the vulva.
Since then, a large number of women have benefitted from the cream. The cream was studied in more than 200 women by two gynecologists in Switzerland. Most recently, a controlled study realized by gynecologist Professor G. Donders (Belgium) corroborated the positive results. More information can be found at www.vulvodyniatreatment.com.
In parallel, an additional controlled study was recently completed in the United States by Dr. Andrew Goldstein, who is an expert in vulvar discomfort. He is also the co-author of "When Sex Hurts" (Da Capo Press, 2011, ISBN 978-0-7382-1398-9). A link to the information regarding this study, will be available once the data is compiled and published.
Neogyn Vulvar Soothing Cream was recently made available in the United States in a 30ml tube.
